Insurance Broker

Job Summary

We are currently looking for an in-office RIBO Licensed Broker with a desire to

continue their insurance career in a highly energetic and positive environment that is professional and rewarding. The Broker will make recommendations on appropriate coverage and contact the appropriate underwriters to bind the coverage. The Broker will work closely with all team members to review new policies, renewals and any policy changes to build, manage and maintain exceptional client services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer exceptional service to our clients
• Gather information through various carrier portals and broker management
systems.
• Servicing an existing book of personal lines clients.
• Communicate with clients in person, by phone, email etc. to process change
requests, quotes and help maintain existing accounts online using company
portals.
• Ensure all transactions are accounted for and processed accurately in a timely
basis.
• Review renewal policies for accuracy, premiums and perform due diligence
regarding client changes pertinent to policy, ensuring a retention rate.
• Prepare insurance related letters and documents to be sent to the Insured.
• Maintain accurate up to date client records on our broker management system
and carrier portals.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Assisting with various projects as defined by management.

Requirements:

• Secondary School Level Education
• RIBO Licensed and in good standing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage clients /
underwriters/ colleagues over the phone, by email and in person.
• Detail oriented person who is a great multitasker and can prioritize tasks based
on business needs.
• Ability to work with minimum guidance.
• Must be able to fluently communicate in both English and French
• Strong computer skills and ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
